Remote Photogrammetry

We develop a new service that replaces today's need for specialized field engineers when conducting photogrammetric surveys offshore.

Subsea Laserscanning

A new optical 3D-scanner for underwater application is currently beeing developed. In a close cooperation with our partners, a new approach will lead to a much faster digitalization of underwater structures than todays sensors.

Airborne Scanning

SubseaScanning develops a close range Laser-Scanner for drones. We also boost LIDAR-scanner systems for drones with live capability and Augmented Reality.

Remote Photogrammetry

"Remote Photogrammetry" automates and simplifies the critical aspects of close-range photogrammetry under water.

Remote Photogrammetry

This inhouse developed technology automates and simplifies all critical phases of subsea photogrammetry, reducing the amount of offshore personnel required and to cut ROV-time in half. /

Customer advantageous:

    1. 35% time saving under water due to better hardware
    2. Increased flexibility due to no / less third party personnel
    3. 50% faster results
    4. Remote support using live-view

Technology:

    1. Machine-learning for fast and reliable marker detection - even in poor visibility!
    2. Patented system for accurate measurement of inclination of structures
    3. Automated workflow for data processing. Live capability.
    4. Remote support using live-view

Subsea Laserscanning

Our latest subsea scanner developing project comprises realtime 3D-Scanning under water. Our method delivers accurace and correctly scaled pointclouds, that are visualised in realtime for the ROV-pilot. Unlike present scanning systems, our approach is designed to compute dense true 3D-scans while beeing mobile. No compensation for the movement is required.

Customer advantageous:

    1. High mobility => Little ROV-time required
    2. Precise and dense pointcloud
    3. Realtime capability for "QC on site" purposes
    4. Lightweight and flexible

Technology:

    1. Range-gating for optimal range in poor visibility
    2. 5M Points / scan, true 3D
    3. 10 Scans per second
    4. Realtime capability

Laserscanning

Laserscanning under water comes with many challanges. SubseaScanning AS is following unique approach which promises high degree of mobility, speed, and reliability.

Airborne Scanning

Laserscanning under water comes with many challanges. SubseaScanning AS is following unique approach which promises high degree of mobility, speed, and reliability.

Airborne Scanning

Drones have the capability to access areas where humans can't go. Beyond the line of sight, they can carry out tasks that comprise accessing confiened and dangerous areas. This requires a high degree of autonomity and realtime capability. Clash-avoidance, optimal flightpath, handling unforeseen events, keeping formation in a swarm.... these are challanges that drones have to handle.

Customer advantageous:

    1. Enabling on-site teleoperators of drones to efficiently map offshore assets with high situational awareness. Increasing capabilities of the drone and redicing flight-time
    2. INstant results, instant qc: The captured 3Ddata is superimposed onto the scene for quality control and operator feedback.
    3. Close-range scanning delivers a accuracy and point-density that is not available today.

Technology:

    1. Augmented Reality for the teleoperator of the drone
    2. Realtime 3D-Scanning at close range
    3. CUDA-based implementation
We calculate the 3D-models in real-time, so drone-pilots experience the captured 3D-data superimposed onto the scene. The pilots may perform quality control and check for completeness of survey data even of complex sites - without depending on a professional surveyor. The remaining flight may be optimized by minimizing the number of scanner positions required to complete the task.
